About Page Ashhub
The registered bindery behind Page Ashhub—paper portfolio books for private wealth tracking, established in Bundang, Seongnam.
Registered business
Page Ashhub Co. is the official registered business name operating this studio. We are registered in South Korea and work from Office 7, 83 Placeholder-ro, Bundang-gu, Seongnam.
Established 2017
Page Ashhub began when two bookbinders—previously repairing law-firm ledgers in Seoul—moved to a smaller workshop in Bundang to focus on private household portfolios. Clients had been asking for ledger formats that fit safe-deposit boxes and did not resemble corporate annual reports.
The first commissions were quarter-cloth A5 books with four tabs: cash, listed shares, property notes, and liabilities. Word spread among family administrators who wanted a physical record alongside custodian statements. By 2019 we added refill guards and consultation sessions so clients could evolve layouts without rebinding entire cases.
We remain a hands-on bindery: no warehouse, no subscription software, no outsourced printing beyond local mills we have audited for paper acidity.
People
Eun-ji Han — lead binder. Trained at a Seoul conservation studio; specialises in sewn bindings and leather paring.
Thomas Ok — layout and consultation. Former paralegal who mapped corporate minute books; now drafts portfolio grids and column widths for clients.
Min-seo Park — materials and finishing. Sources cloth, thread, and archival boards; manages embossing and slipcase work.
Working approach
We meet clients at the studio or by secure correspondence. Every commission starts with paper samples—you feel the tooth and weight before we cut a full text block. Revisions are marked on printed spreads, not in a preview app.
Volumes leave the workshop with a serial stamp, materials log, and care note. We keep confidential records of dimensions and tab positions so refill orders match without re-measuring.
Values
- Discretion — plain covers, unmarked packaging, no client lists published
- Permanence — acid-free materials and repairable sewing structures
- Clarity — layouts that mirror how you already think about asset classes
Community
We host an occasional open studio afternoon for local collectors of account books and ledgers. Attendance is by invitation when bench space allows.
